Chief Executive Officer

Mark L. Powell has over 15 years of experience leading companies that have experienced rapid growth. Mr. Powell directs strategic development, financial management, marketing and business development. Since 1999, under his leadership, Sidus has consistently expanded with average increases of over 50%, annualized. Sidus is wholly-owned by its founders and has been self financed through the reinvestment of profits. Sidus has been profitable since 2001.

Mr. Powell created and was the Managing Partner of Chesapeake Marketing Group. From 1992 until 1999, CMG grew at an annualized rate of 74%. Chesapeake Marketing won many national awards.

He has MBA from the University of Maryland, where he was the William F. Holin Scholar. Mr. Powell also graduated from the United States Naval Academy and served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. He is a service-disabled veteran.

Mr. Powell and the founders created the Sidus Shares program to support various organizations that are seeking to better our community. He has served as the President of the Board for the Anne Arundel Tech Council from 2004-2007, assisting in the rebuilding of this organization. Under his leadership, membership rose from 48 companies to 221 and over 70 sponsors were added. Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Powell served as the President of the Hospice of the Chesapeake Foundation. He is also currently serving as the Secretary for the 21st Century Foundation and has involvement with multiple other organizations including the United Way.

Chief Operating Officer

Jason Silva oversees the ongoing operations of Sidus. Additionally, he is integral to the formulation of our business development program and supports our web marketing initiatives.

Mr. Silva, has ten years of experience in program and logistics management. His experience includes the management and implementation of web, ecommerce, content management and intranet systems in the retail, travel, automotive, government, and technology sectors. During his tenure at Sidus Group, Mr. Silva has managed a team of programmers and web designers in the completion of over 150 different internet based projects. Committed to issues local to Anne Arundel County, Mr. Silva is active in the Anne Arundel Tech Council, serves as a board member of the Fort Meade Alliance and was an integral part of the formation of the Sidus Shares Community outreach program. Mr. Silva holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park and is a native of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.

Chief Technology Officer

Vincent Hardick, has been the architect, engineer and manager of both the AlwaysOnline.net and RaqShaq.com networks for the past four years.

Vin is integral to the tremendous support that we provide to our Clients.

Mr. Hardick, is another alum from of the University of Maryland and is a native of Locust Valley, New York. Prior to Sidus, he was a systems administrator with DigiWeb and ISR.

Operations Director

Cynthia E. Anderson brings an extensive background in operations, having held similar positions for North American Telecom, Atlantic Lucent Technologies, Hechinger Corporation and Chesapeake Marketing Group, Inc.

Her primary responsibilities include the streamlining of office procedures and customer service. Ms. Anderson's insight and leadership has consistently improved operational efficiency. Her zeal for customer support has been a strong asset to our firm since 2001. She leads in the development and constant improvement of ProTraq, our internal operational support management system. ProTraq manages customer support, scheduling, project and program management, and internal communications.

Creative Director

Jackie DeChamp is the primary web designer at Sidus. She started working for Sidus in December 2000. Her experience includes site design, ecommerce, content management, logo design, and Flash development. During her tenure at Sidus Group, Ms. DeChamp has designed and maintained over 200 websites. In addition to web media experience, she is also well versed in all aspects of print media design and development.

An Annapolis, Maryland native, Ms. DeChamp has received training in web media and graphic design at the York College of Pennsylvania, School of Art and Anne Arundel Community College.

Web Designer

Linda Gibson joined Sidus in 2005. Ms. Gibson has worked on multiple projects. Her creative insight and willingness for continued learning has added value for our clients. She holds a certificate from Anne Arundel Community College for Publication/Design on the Internet.

Her primary responsibilities include web design, content management, e-commerce and site maintenance. Ms. Gibson supports many of the tasks and efforts in the Sidus Group Web Marketing program.
